DIY Soothing Skin Mask

Spending time in the sun gives you energy, makes you happier, and even makes you more attractive (it's a fact, look it up). But, we've all had those days when we spent TOO MUCH time in the sun, and we come home with dry, chapped, flaking, and sunburned skin. Here's the simple DIY soothing mask to try:

Ingredients

For this, you will need:
  • 1 cup of yoghurt (sugar-free, natural stuff)
  • ½ cup of raw, steel cut oats

Preparation

To begin, put the oats in a stock pot on the stove to boil, along with a couple of cups of water. Cook the oats until they are properly done, and set them aside to cool. Once cool, run the oats through the blender to puree. Mix the yoghurt in with the oats, and apply the mixture to your face. Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes, and wash it off with warm water. Your face should be nice and soothed. Bonus:  For oily skin, mix in some lemon to cut the skin oil. For dry skin, add in honey for extra soothing power!   Featured Image Source:www.stonyfield.com
