Author of over 30 books, the beloved guru Dr. Wayne Dyer passed away this past Saturday after a long battle with leukaemia. He was 75. "Wayne has left his body, passing away through the night. He always said he couldn't wait for this next adventure to begin and had no fear of dying. Our hearts are broken, but we smile to think of how much our scurvy elephant will enjoy the other side." It was stated on his Facebook page. The post was shared over 30,000 times. Wayne had long running specials on PBS, and was a regular guest on Oprah Winfrey's Super Soul Sunday. "RIP Wayne. You brought the Light." Oprah said on Twitter. “For millions and millions of people, he was a touchstone of understanding and self-awareness and confidence,” said Rich Homberg, president and CEO of Detroit Public Television. “He always just felt so genuine, and so real, and he went to such lengths to help people understand.” Wayne started as a professor at a Detroit university, and rose to popularity among his students. He went from selling self-help books out of the back of his station wagon, to the incredible lifetime achievement that was his career. "The world has lost an incredible man. Wayne Dyer officiated our wedding and was an inspiration to so many. Sending love." said Ellen Degeneres, sharing a heartwarming picture from her wedding ceremony.
