Drew Barrymore says she "Felt like a Kangaroo" after Giving Birth

We've heard lots of celebrities speak about the difficulties and pressures related to losing weight after giving birth. What we haven't heard before is the creative and vivid description of the postpartum body offered by Drew Barrymore in an interview with Glamour. Screen Shot 2015-03-30 at 12.41.06 PM "After making two babies, holy cow, does your body do some crazy stuff!" she said. "It's hard to stay positive and love yourself. You feel like a kangaroo with a giant pouch; everything's saggy and weird," she says. But she is able to see past all that, "You think about how beautiful it is that you're able to make children. When I lose sight of that, I exercise, read Dr. Seuss's Oh, the Places You'll Go!, and spend time with my kids. Then I start to see things that are bigger than myself." Screen Shot 2015-03-30 at 12.40.46 PM What a beautiful look at life! Barrymore didn't stop there and had some important advice about selfies: "You don't always have to look stunning on Instagram," she said. "I've been makeupless, pregnant, and stuffing food in my face in many pictures; that makes it all the more exciting when I do do something more attractive. I don't like it when everyone looks so perfect all the time. Where's the humor in that?" Thank you, Drew. This is exactly why we love you!
