Would You Drink Lululemon Beer?
Lululemon has teamed up with another Vancouver business, Stanley Park Breweries, to create a co branded beer called "Curiousity Lager."
It may seem like they are a template for the 'odd couple' but this isn't the first time they have joined forces. Last summer they came up with Sunset Strawberry Wit. It was sold exclusively at the SeaWheeze Sunset Festival – the after-party to its annual half marathon.
This time, they are going to try to put the beer into stores. Curiosity Lager is now available in 400 liquor stores across B.C. and Alberta, with a run of 80,000 cans that will be available through the autumn months.
The beer is described as being crisp, bold beer flavoured with lemon drop hops.
Travis McKenzie, global events manager at Lululemon, said in a statement that “This collaboration is a limited release for 2015, but you never know what we’ll be ‘cheers-ing’ to in 2016."
Hmm. Different, to say the least. I am one of the few -- sometimes feels like one of the only -- women who doesn't wear Lululemon clothes so I can't imagine I will be overly enthusiastic to try their beer but, well, never say never, I guess.
If the beer was available in your area, would you try it?
