Dude Alert: 5 Great Things About Dating an Older Man

From the moment we reach high school, it seems we're in awe of the older dude; the senior who walks with confidence. In college it's the post-grad stud who can tell you everything you need to know about what real life is like. And then, as we reach our mid-20s, we're loving that guy at the bar, or in our yoga class, or at the coffee shop who doesn't care what anyone thinks anymore. They say women mature quicker than men, which makes perfect sense as to why we wouldn't want to date someone our own age — they just don't get what we do. And though there are plenty of exceptions, like old souls or older sisters to thank, there is just something incredibly attractive about dating a dude our senior. Here are five reasons why you should try it out. Dating 1. He's over jealousy. It's one of the most unattractive traits a mate can have. An older guy got over his passive aggressive comments about a guy admiring you at the bar, or a friend of yours that just so happens to be a dude ages ago. He's secure, and it's damn sexy. 2. He's not afraid to meet your friends or family. Because this isn't his first rodeo, and he knows how to converse, charm and be himself. 3. He doesn't look like a pre-teen anymore. From his face to his chest, he can finally show off his manly body hair. 4. He can go down without looking up. Gone are the days of those creepy eyes staring up at you as your partner looks up while going down on you, asking for approval with his eyes. The older dude knows what works. 5. He has his own life. And he's not trying to leach off of yours. He's established a schedule, from working to working out, hanging out with friends and hitting up events. Are you dating an older man?
