Easy Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • salt/pepper to taste
  • 1 package Mozzarella sticks, cut into cubes
  • Olive Oil
  • Marinara (jar or homemade)
mozzarella stuffed meatballs   Directions:
  1. In a large bowl, mix the beef and sausage together along with the spices.
  2. Form into balls (size of a golf ball).
  3. Press a cheese cube in the middle and seal the meat around it.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet. Brown meatballs and then set aside on plate.
  5. Pour marinara sauce into pan; bring to a simmer. Add meatballs and simmer until cooked through, about 30 minutes.
  6. Serve.
