I am beyond excited to share this recipe for homemade hot chocolate using NO refined sugars and PROTEIN!! So for me giving up refined sugar for the month also meant giving up chocolate. Now it's not like I go off the deep end stuffing my face with chocolate all day, BUT I do enjoy a good piece of chocolate or something chocolatey almost every day. I swear it has something to do with my pregnancies, because before that chocolate was never really on my radar. I mean after my youngest daughter, Layla, was born I think I baked a new batch of chocolate chip cookies almost every day after returning from the hospital. Keep in mind I wasn't eating all of them....I had some helpers!!
Ok...so back to what this post is all about. HOT CHOCOLATE....but without the addition of any refined sugars!! AND....wait for it...PROTEIN!! That's a win-win if you ask me! Now that I've made this the wheels are turning...so many more ideas coming to mind. Just give it a try and let me know what you think! I think I'm hooked...and now the girls have something healthy to put in their tiny new mugs!!
