Many entrepreneurs place their business above everything else in life. And I mean everything. Family, friends, their health and fitness. It isn't about the money necessarily, it is about building something great and that is how other things fall by the wayside. Entrepreneurs have a great deal of responsibilities and tasks that often require immediate attention. But at the end of the day, there is only so much you can get done. Why not take an hour out of your day and exercise? Try to schedule workouts during the work day so they are a priority too. Your business will survive an hour without you, you can always reschedule that meeting. You owe it to yourself to make your health a priority. If you start skipping workouts, it won't be long before you're not doing them at all. If you aren't physically healthy, you cannot give your best to your business. You're productivity will suffer, you may become stressed and/or depressed. Not a winning combo for business success. We all have to prioritize our lives in ways that will work for us, of course, but this is worth thinking about. If you put your business first, it might make your business more successful, it might not. When you get your body moving, it keeps your hormones and metabolism in check and your immune system humming. It makes you your best you. Isn't that the person you'd like to run your business?
