Eva Longoria's Very 'Real' Beach Body (Photos)
Caught up in the hype that surrounds Hollywood, its incredibly easy to find oneself believing the magazine and tv advertisements and looking at celebrities and believing that they really do have the answer to clear skin and perfect bodies and happy love lives. Its deceptive and alluring and businesses make millions of dollars off our desires to look like our favorite celebrities.
Now and again its wonderful to remind ourselves that there is no such thing as perfection. There's no one cookie cut mold of what is beautiful or attractive. That is all the more wonderful because we all have our own definition of what is beautiful and attractive and it isn't all just skin deep.
Eva Longoria was recently off the Pacific coast of Acapulco, Mexico with her new boyfriend Jose Baston. Eva wasn't being filmed in a Hollywood studio and she wasn't photoshopped. It was just an afternoon out on the water. Her body doesn't look "perfect" according to Hollywood and I'm sure there's much they might photoshop given the chance...but she looked gorgeous. She looked gorgeous because she was real. That's the sort of "real woman" we are all talking about. The woman that isn't covered or photoshopped so much she's unrecognizable.
Eva Longoria looks fantastic but there are also things that I can recognize about myself and that we can all see. Perhaps its the stomach that isn't flat or the stretch marks or the bikini that's so horrendously awful to keep up. It's only in dollhouses that the girls with pore less porcelain skin and perfect hair and unchanging bodies live.
