A honeymoon is supposed to be a relaxing time for a couple; they just had their wedding and can finally stop planning that special day and relax. But if like millions of brides you have worked out so hard before your wedding day do you really want to let go of all that progress?
Most people on vacation go crazy, eating and drinking whatever they want and that leads to feeling bloated and weight gain. If you are on a weeklong honeymoon that is 7 days of eating and drinking like you don’t care about the consequences. When you get back home you have to try and get back into your old fitness and diet routine and it might be harder after all that over indulging.
I can see both sides of this argument, on one side you are exhausted and want to relax and you will probably end up working out in the bedroom anyway…if you know what I mean. On the other side you want to look good in photos on your honeymoon.
If you exercise when you come back you will still look just as good as you did when you left. You can sneak away early in the morning to fit in your workout before your husband or wife is awake. This will ensure you look to die for in those post wedding bathing suit photos.
Your honey might get mad or jealous that you aren’t spending every waking moment together and you are supposed to be relaxing together. If you don’t exercise you will have more time to go on adventures together and explore whatever tropical, amazing place you choose for your honeymoon.
Maybe you can do both, what if you keep your workouts easy and short. You could go for short 20 minute jogs on the beach if you are in a tropical destination. And rotate between cardio and interval training you could do push-ups, crunches, squats, lunges, etc.
If you can’t find the time to fit a mini workout in try to eat somewhat healthy. Instead of cheating every day and indulging in food items you usually wouldn’t like heavy desserts and surgery drinks try to make similar choices as you would back home. One couple recommended splitting dessert if you feel like you need to have one.
Whatever you choose to do on your honeymoon make you’re your new husband or wife is ok with your choice because you don’t want to start your new marriage will an upsetting honeymoon.
