Earlier this year, there was a list going around of questions people should ask to fall in love with someone. I can’t tell you if it works, but I do know they missed one very important question: What is your favorite dog breed?
You can tell a lot about a person by what dog breed is their favorite. First of all, they’re a dog person, so they get cool points right from the start. But knowing whether someone is a Husky or Lab person can tell you a lot about them as a person.
So. What’s your favorite dog breed?
Dachshund
Your favorite memories are centered around food. Your emotions are regulated by food, and the pursuit of food. A gathering is not complete unless there is something to munch on, and you’re not ashamed of it. Your perfect day consists of being a lazy couch burrito while eating burritos. And Dog forbid someone judge you for it.
Labrador Retriever
You know what you like and you’re cool with not having to test boundaries. You’re outgoing, but you don’t really need to be, because people tend to like you by default and gravitate toward you in social situations.
German Shepherd
You appreciate knowing what people expect of you and you have no problem with authority, but you’re not a pushover. You like the simple things in life, and prefer intimate gatherings with friends over large crowds.
Chinese Crested
You like challenging people’s perceptions, and you’re often successful at starting discussions on tough subjects. You like making an impact anywhere you go, which either draws people to you or pushes them away. You’re not afraid to be different.
Chihuahua
You love being the center of attention when you walk into a room. You’re resilient and you know how to throw a mean side-eye if you feel like someone deserves it.
Corgi
You’re friendly and open to new people and situations. You’re not afraid to try out a new sport or hobby, and your friends love that they can depend on you when they need to talk.
Bulldog
You’re the calm one in your circle of friends, and some might even accuse you of having permanent DILLIGAF face (Does It Look Like I Give A F*ck). But that’s fine. Haters gon’ hate, right? Your chill demeanor comes in handy when you’re uncomfortable, because no one can tell.
Yorkshire Terrier
Some might accuse you of being high-maintenance, but what do they know? You just don’t have time to deal with basics. Who does anymore? You’re not afraid to share your opinion on controversial topics, and people tend to listen, even if they don’t tell you they do.
Poodle
You’re intelligent, and you’re quietly proud of it. You have an appreciation for the classic, and if that makes you a snob, so be it. You secretly know others admire you.

You’re hilarious, and others know it. Your weird sense of humor is probably why people like being around you, even if you think you’re a little awkward sometimes. Embrace it.
French Bulldog
You’re a city person at heart, and you know it. You can fit in anywhere, and have a natural affinity for the cosmopolitan. You have a way of making people feel loved with the smallest gestures.
Mixed Breed
You’re approachable and down-to-earth. You pick a side and stick to it, even though you can see and understand both sides. This makes you a great person to come to for advice.
Rottweiler
People either love you or don’t, but that doesn’t matter to you. You have a soft side you show only to those you trust, and once you consider someone a friend, it’s for life.
Boston Terrier
You’re the best kind of insane. You can hide it if you really need to, but sometimes you just need to let out because otherwise you’d actually go crazy. Sometimes it’s hard to concentrate, but when you do, great things happen.
Pit Bull
You’re opinionated, and it might turn some people off when they first meet you. But those who know you can expect honesty and loyalty. You’re fine spending time alone, but can be the life of the party if you feel like it. You have a big heart because you know what it’s like to be the underdog.
Husky
You’re very vocal. Some might call it whining, but hey — as long as you get what you want, right? You’re not too worried about keeping things tidy, because life shouldn’t only be about making beds and unloading the dishwasher.
Beagle
Thank Dog for the Internet, because you’re a curious person who needs to know everything. Meet a new person? GOOGLED. You’re a pro at finding things out, which also means people come to you for information. And it’s a nice feeling — being wanted.
Which are you? Share in the comments!
