Julia Price was out enjoying a typical run. A beats blasting, heart pumping, lungs burning run. She could have been any of us, out getting our fix. But on this day, things went a little differently. While on her run, a well-dressed man taking his lunch break outside, apparently liked what he saw. He began yelling "Sexy lady, hey, hey, hey, sexy lady!" so loudly that she could hear him over her music. She did what most of us would do and ignored him, continuing on her way. This, apparently, was the 'wrong' response as he responded  "eff you, dumb b*tch!" Not one to be spoken to like that, Price ripped off her headphones and was about to defend herself when she found that she actually didn't need to. A little boy out walking with his mother and sister came to her rescue. He said, "Hey. That is not nice to say to her, and she didn't like you yelling at her. You shouldn't do that because she is a nice girl, and I don't let anyone say mean things to people. She's a girl like my sister, and I will protect her." The man was duly shamed and Price turned to the family and asked if she could thank the little boy with a hug. Not missing a beat, he shrugged and said, "Well I just wanted to make sure your heart was OK." Price shared this story on her Facebook page, thanking moms and dads for "raising the next generation to be brave and courageous and to be little earth angels for all." The little boy is named, James, and according to his mother, "this is a typical day in the life of James." Couldn't we all be a little more like James?
