If we are 100% honest, we get a bit giddy around here when it comes to the Victoria's Secret Angels. A lot of us here find their take on beauty to be inspirational and we think its cool that part of their brand ethos is pushing the importance of sports and fitness. It's not about wanting to be them, its about appreciating their fun, playful take on sexy. It's never trashy, and we find that they help keep us motivated without making us feel lacking. Since they have been relatively quiet since their big fashion show in December, we have been experiencing a painful withdrawal. That all came to a screeching halt this week when the Angels debuted the "Don't Drop The Ball" video, a snippet of their first Super Bowl commercial since 2008. I think this is the most covered up I've ever seen the Victoria's Secret Angels. Their faces are obscured for most of the video, and sound effects and clever editing almost make these ladies convincing football players. Of course, it all ends with a big reveal: Helmets come off and shiny, long hair is shaken loose. The Angels walk, dramatically, in slow motion as a message appears on the screen: "Don't Drop the Ball." I think it's a reminder to men watching the Super Bowl to buy something nice for their significant others on Valentine's Day. Were we not supposed to be watching the Super Bowl too?
