Fit Model Sarah Stage Gives Birth to 8 Pound 7 Ounce Baby Boy After Gaining Just 20 Pounds During Her Pregnancy
Losing the baby weight shouldn’t be too hard! Few pregnancies have been as closely scrutinized as that of model Sarah Stage. But on Wednesday, April 15, the new mom welcomed son James Hunter, who weighed a healthy 8 pounds and 7 ounces
Stage’s pregnancy pics went viral when she posted a series of lingerie selfies looking barely pregnant. On April 13, she shared a shot wearing a black bra and undies and writing, “Still waiting. #9months.”
Critics of the model’s shockingly fit and trim body have come out in droves, but Stage remained confident in her choices.
The last Instagram shot she posted on April 14, before going into labor, was a picture of two In-N-Out burgers and fries, writing, “Cravings.” Stage gained around 20 pounds during her pregnancy.
“As long as the baby is healthy, I don’t think anything else matters,” Stage told Good Morning America in March. “That should be the most important thing.”
As we covered this story we were amazed at how divisive the issue of a "fit" pregnancy became. We are glad that both mother and newborn are healthy.
