Fitness Fanatic Admits He Buys And Consumes Breast Milk To Get "Buff"

32 year old fitness instructor, Danny Davison, buys strangers' breast milk online and drinks it to build muscle. In conjunction with his training he consumes 100ml several times a week. His wife doesn't mind the expenditure but she does worry about his health. Davison purchases his breast milk from a website that is devoted to adults who drink breast milk. Because it is coming from strangers, he is putting himself at a greater risk for HIV and hepatitis infections. He thinks it is worth the risk. "I've noticed a difference since I started drinking breast milk, I feel a lot stronger and a lot bigger," he says. "I'm very aware it can be dangerous but I don't screen it and I just take a chance." How does someone happen upon this bulking option? Davison explains:

"I was in the gym and I had been bitten by the bug - I was obsessed with getting big. I didn't want to take steroids to get big because I've seen the effects it can have on you in your old age. There were these big rugby guys at the gym and they said they drank breast milk to build muscle. I couldn't believe it. I was shocked and a little bit skeptical that it would work."

He believes the growth hormone present in breast milk is the key.

Davison admits that it isn't for everyone. It is dense and bitter and as he says, "It's like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it."

Well, that's different. There is no hard scientific evidence that this works -- seems mostly anecdotal at this point -- but it is interesting.

Knowing you are at an increased risk to develop certain infections, would you consider drinking breast milk to bulk up?

I'm not convinced the risk is worth it. What do you think?
