No “fry” French Fries
Do you ever get craving for French fries but don’t want to undo all the hard work you did at the gym that day?
You don’t have to go to McDonalds to get French fries; you can make your own fries with potatoes and other vegetables that are way healthier for you.
Well, we got you covered with this super simple recipe for no “fry” vegetable fries. This recipe is so easy you can even get your kids involved! It is truly a healthy snack for the whole family.
What you will need:
1 Red potato
½ sweet potato
1 Zucchini
1 carrot
Tip: Try to use organic whenever possible.
Preheat your oven at 350 degrees.
Peel the veggies or leave them with their skins, it’s your choice. If you are making this with kids have them peel the ingredients for you to cut up.
Cut zucchini top and bottom off, then cut into long skinny pieces, like what the shape of French fries look like. Do the same to the carrot, sweet potato and red potato.
Grease your baking sheet with coconut oil or olive oil.
Layer veggie pieces on baking sheet, try not to overlap; lightly season with salt and pepper.
Option: You can add other spices if you would like, cinnamon to the sweet potatoes, cayenne to the zucchinis and garlic powder to the red potatoes. These are just a couple ideas, get creative.
Place the baking sheet in oven and bake for 30 minutes.
Take out and let cool for a few minutes.
Enjoy!
Dip them in ketchup, mustard or healthy dipping sauces you may have or just eat them plain.
There you have them No "fry" Vegetable Fries, super simple to make and a great healthy snack for everyone.
