We would all love to wave a magic wand and look stunning in a bikini right now, but unfortunately, unless you already have the toned body you want, then that's not possible. It is possible, however, to get your body on its way to being bikini ready in as little as seven days!
Don't worry - I'm not about to tell you to starve yourself for a week, or to workout for 10 hours a day. But I'm also not going to tell you how to get the same results you would from spending months working out hard and eating clean (as that's not possible) - it's just a few tips to get you looking your best within seven days.
1. Cut out processed foods

If you haven't already, then you need to stop eating all processed food. Try to stick to only eating one ingredient meals - that doesn't mean that your whole meal has to just be a tomato - it means only putting food on your plate that is made from one ingredient. So fresh meat, vegetables, fruits, etc - nothing with a list of ingredients. If you really struggle to eat one ingredient meals, then try to stick to this advice...if you don't understand something on the ingredients list, don't eat it.
2. Eat small and frequent meals

It's easy to think that if we cut down on the amount we eat, then we will lose weight. In reality, if you don't eat enough calories every day then your metabolism slows down - which actually means that your body struggles to burn off the food that you do eat! So don't starve yourself in pursuit of a bikini body, just eat small and frequent meals - you should be aiming to eat a small meal or snack 5-6 times a day, as this will not only keep your hunger in control, but it will also keep your metabolism working at its optimum level.
3. Drink plenty of water

I often talk about how important it is to stay hydrated, but it's also essential for trying to drop a few pounds. Dehydration can often be confused for hunger, and it flushes toxins out of your body. You should aim to drink approx. 2 litres of water per day, and that doesn't mean guzzling it all in one go - sip throughout the day to stay hydrated and keep your metabolism fired up.
4. Add cardio to your workout

I'm a big fan of lifting weights to sculpt the perfect bikini body, but cardio is great for stripping the fat - so try to fit in some cardio for at least five of the seven days. The length of your workout will depend on your ability, but remember that one huge workout isn't the way to go - don't add up all of the minutes you should've exercised for the week and blow out on one day, because all that will happen is you will exhaust yourself, and probably end up with terrible DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) the following day! Pace yourself, and try to make working out part of your daily routine.
5. Stop eating treats

We all know that this is one of the harder things to cut out, but I couldn't leave it out of this list! You could exercise for an hour every day, but if you're gorging on cake, chocolate and crisps then you will be unlikely to ever see results. It's easier to gradually reduce the amount of sugar you eat, but if you want to see results in 7 days then you need to cut out sugar now! Believe it or not - after a few days your sugar cravings will actually fade.
6. Steer clear of alcohol

We all know that alcohol isn't great for weight loss - all those empty calories and toxins, so if you're trying to get a bikini body then you need to stay away from it. It's not just the effect alcohol has on your body that could destroy your efforts; it's also the way that it makes you crave foods you probably wouldn't normally eat - would you really order a kebab sober? If you're craving alcohol just think about how good you want to look on the beach, and you will soon step away from the bottle.
7. Stand up straight

This might sound silly, but you can drastically improve the way your body looks within seconds! All you need to do is correct your posture. We are all guilty of slouching - I trained as a dancer for many years, but even I find myself forgetting my correct posture at times. Standing up tall can instantly improve your body though - take a look in the mirror sideways, and then straighten your back up so that your chest slightly sticks out, and hold your head high...can you see the difference? It's a huge improvement!
Although this advice will help to get you on your way to feeling much more confident in a bikini, nothing is as good for the perfect bikini body as working out and eating clean - if you want a bikini body that lasts, you need to put in the hard work consistently. It's not easy, but it's worth it.
