How To Get Jake Gyllenhaal's Ripped Bod: The Southpaw Workout
Jake Gyllenhaal has been incredibly dedicated to getting fit for his role in the new Southpaw movie.
The actor trained intensely for an exhausting 6 hours a day for 5 months. The 34-year-old's regime included a mixture of boxing, cardio, strength training and conditioning. Jake completed a remarkable count of 14,000 push-ups a week. How did he find the discipline to keep going?
"When I set my mind to something I just won't stop until I do it. It's something I pride myself on. It's something I hate about myself. By the end I felt like I could do it." Jake tells Entertainment Tonight.

Movie-goers will be able to see Jake's startlingly ripped and toned body in the movie which hits theatres at the end of July. The story follows a boxer (Jake) at his career's most dazzling high. The sports-action flick stars Rachel McAdams as Jake's wife, who begs him to take time away from the ring to be with his family. Things take a turn for the worst when tragedy strikes the boxing superstar's personal life.
"The thing was, whenever I took a real hit, my first thought was, "someone better have got a good f****** angle on that." Jake jokes about filming his most gruelling boxing scenes.
What do you think of Jake's hot, tight body? Would you ever undergo such a rigorous regime to get ripped?
