Good News For Vapers: E-Cigs Deemed Safer Than Cigarettes

The debate as to whether electronic cigarettes are a safer option to smoking tobacco cigarettes has come to rest. The British government agency, Public Health England, announced in a report that e-cigs (which use vapour to create a smoke-like experience) are 95% less harmful than tobacco cigarettes. "My reading of the evidence is that smokers who switch to vaping remove almost all the risks smoking poses to their health." explains Professor Peter Hajek of Queen Mary University. Ecigarettes The report suggests that e-cigs will be a game changer in the world of public health, by cutting down the issues created by smoking for millions of people. However, there is little research to support that these devices are safe in the long term. In the USA, e-cigarettes are not FDA approved. They have also raised concerns of promoting and even glamourizing smoking thanks to the 'vaping' culture associated with them. Some of these devices are fashionable looking and are marketed as accessories. Many people argue that e-cigs are advertised the same way that traditional smoking was in past generations. So the debate as to whether these devices could have a negative impact on future generations is still in full swing. What do you think? Are e-cigs a danger or a positive solution?
