Great For Weight Loss: These Workouts Burn The Most Calories
Most of us do not have a lot of extra time on our hands. Between work and family/social obligations, it can be really difficult to make workouts a part of your day. This is why when you are working out, you want to get all you can from every last second. We hear you. Here a few ways to take your calorie burning potential to the next level!

Add Cardio Intervals
Doing cardio intervals, or short sprints in between slower recovery periods, does more for your weight loss efforts than steady-state cardio. Intervals force your muscles to work harder without adequate oxygen which is known as anaerobic conditioning. This will help your muscles burn more fuel, perform better and grow. Bigger muscles mean a greater fat burn so interval training is a wonderful workout to add to your cardio a few times a week.
Work Out With Weights
The biggest secret to shedding pounds is building strength. "When you're doing weight training, it's not so much about burning calories; it's about gaining as much muscle as possible," explains trainer Tia Falcone. "All women need to gain as much muscle as humanly possible; that’s what’s going to make you smaller, and it raises your base metabolism permanently." Don't be scared that you will bulk up. Lifting heavy weights will make you smaller than you'd be if you skipped it all together.Go High Intensity
Don't reserve your intervals for cardio only. They work great with your circuit training as well! Mixing up your intensity provides a great afterburn, meaning your body will burn calories long after the workout is complete. Try adding some HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts. These workouts alternate short periods of intense work with shorter periods of recovery. They provide quick results and burn more calories in less time.
