Hasan Banks is the Definition of Motivation Monday

Hasan Banks is a body builder. So, apart from his physical appearance, you may wonder why he is such an inspiration when it comes to fitness. In 2009 Hasan was diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia type 7. Ataxia is a neurological disorder that affects the part of the brain which controls motor skills - causing issues with walking, balance, vision (even blindness) and coordination. There is no known cure. Hasan was told that it wouldn't be long before he would need a wheelchair. For him, that just wasn't an option. After placing an extreme dedication towards his health and fitness, he developed a want and need to continue to push himself and spread the word that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. Hasan turned to body building as a means to keep pushing forward. He started competing in 2012 to fulfill a dream to push to join the ranks of the IFBB. 524010_628164687202502_1992053083_n 10334431_787917744560528_5338692369317221936_n 10426822_790181014334201_6582535531176958507_n 10303747_788503807835255_2337127153475781997_n10524600_795281177157518_2403323392974434844_n Check out and support Hasan on his Facebook
