Healthy Lifestyle - Lose lbs Not Minutes
A healthy lifestyle isn't just about eating right and exercising, it's about managing your time, your activities and your thoughts. To live a healthy lifestyle you have to be conscious of it 24/7.
People who watch a lot of TV may be at risk of a shortened life expectancy. The British Journal of Medicine recently released a study that found each hour you spend watching television is linked to a reduced life expectancy of about 22 minutes.
It’s not just the bad programming that’s slashing years of your life, it’s the sedentary lifestyle and the fact that people who spend a lot of time watching the boob-tube tend to eat poorly.
This isn't to say you should toss your TV, but that you should watch less and when you do watch, put down the popcorn and exercise a bit. Try holding plank pose or doing squats (or jump squats, or burpees!) during commercial breaks. If you’re settling in for a good movie, sit on your stationary bike or get up and do something (more burpees!) every 15 minutes or so.
