Heidi Klum Channels Britney Spears in Cropped Top Photo
On Thursday she was nominated for an Emmy (with co-host Tim Gunn) for her work on the reality show Project Runway. She will return for Season 14 of the show on Lifetime on August 6.
And so maybe she was feeling a little silly and decided to have a little fun by releasing an old photo in which she bares her toned tummy in a bubblegum pink tank top and beaded skirt. The centre-parted hair and chunky highlights, along with the outfit, date the photo to the late 90s.
‘Photo Blast from the Past: Everything comes back into style!’ was the Instagram caption Klum attached.
The latest photo follows a series of pics last week in which the supermodel posted three no makeup selfies in seven days. All of this self-promotion leaves fans wondering if Heidi is struggling to maintain an image of youthfulness.
At 42, she looks amazingly fit and fresh-faced, but modelling is a young woman's game and Hollywood is unforgiving when a woman begins to show signs of aging.
Could the throwback midriff-baring tops and reminders about her young beau and scrubbed face photos be an attempt to hold onto that younger era?
