Homemade Deodorant Recipe
Commercial antiperspirants contain a slew of toxic ingredients including antibacterial agents; artificial scents, talc, preservatives and aluminum just to name a few.
What is worse is that these compounds act as a physical barrier for toxins in the sweat. This is a major elimination channel of the body and plugging it up with neuro-toxic chemicals is bad news for the body.
But you can make your own at home, no sweat! (no pun intended)
Here is my super simple recipe:
Ingredients:
1-2 tbsp Baking Soda
¼ cup Arrowroot Starch
4-6 Tbsp Coconut Oil
20 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
20 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Directions:
Stir together arrowroot and baking soda and add essential oils. Use a fork or spoon to mash coconut oil in.
