Food porn is all over social media. It is impossible to escape. If you find yourself drooling over images of decadent desserts and rich comfort foods, you aren't alone. Not that things are any simpler in 'real life.' Have you ever been sitting in a restaurant and struck by what the table beside you is eating? You may be left wondering if it is the anticipated taste of the food you are about to eat or the presentation that a makes you salivate. "We do eat with our eyes and first impressions (of a food) are everlasting," says celebrity chef, Ranveer Brar. With our advanced technologies and communications, people are becoming far more adventurous and trying foods from all over the world, making visual appeal more important than ever. But, when it comes to choosing between taste and attractiveness, "taste has always been and will always be king," says Brar. "I strongly believe that presentation leaves an impression, but what gives the impact is taste.
