Jennifer Lawrence On Googling Herself And Battling Anxiety

Jennifer Lawrence has graced the screen in many blockbuster films, and is renowned for her fit-girl figure and jaw dropping beauty. When she's not out walking the red carpet or promoting positive body image, Jen has a bad habit of looking herself up on the internet. “I’m so scared to say anything now. I can see every negative way that people can take it, and I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining. ‘Oh, she’s so conceited now. Oh, she’s so jaded now.’ It probably comes from Googling myself. You try having a period and staying away from Google. I once Googled ‘Jennifer Lawrence Ugly.’ Do I sound bitchy?" the 25-year-old laughed as she opened up to The New York Times. “The world makes an opinion of you without ever meeting you. That worry should not bother me, but it does. It bothers me.” To assume that stars don't share the same insecurities and are weighed down by scrutiny would be naive. J.Law is very down to earth and honest, but is still worried about being misrepresented in the media. "Outwardly, I look like I’m having a blast, and I am, at least on some levels. There I was — burp, burp, burp — just a little gal from Kentucky getting discovered by big ol’ Hollywood. But inside I’m terrified. In an instant — boom — everyone’s listening, everyone’s looking.” she explains. Being in the spotlight for many years now hasn't shed Jennifer's anxiety, which she says she takes medication for. But over the years she has broken down her walls and become less of an 'avatar version of herself' that she used to present to the public. Can you relate to Jennifer? Have you ever struggled with anxiety and insecurity? Source: Hello Giggles
