Kate Hudson is a bombshell plain and simple. From her ear-to-ear smile and golden locks to her toned and taught physique, her appearance is admirable to say the least. And then there's those abs.
Kate is an exercise fiend, so much so, that she created her very own line of activewear called Fabletics which has proved to be quite a hit. She even just celebrated taking her line brick and mortar, opening six stores. "Our customers are actually going to be able to get to look, and touch, and feel our product," she said in an interview with Elle. "I'm excited. I feel like I'm finally able to connect with the consumer and all of our staff and get our brand message across in person. It's pretty motivating." Kate's interview went on to discuss her favorite fitness apps, the ways she motivates herself to stay in shape, and her favorite fashion meets fitness finds. On her fans, Kate said, "You know it's funny. Every time that I'm on an airplane, one of the flight attendants is a VIP member of Fabletics and we sit and we talk about it and they'll tell me what their favorite things are. I get ideas from them, actually! Girls come up to me quite a bit now who are a fan of our clothes, and it's always a nice conversation to have because it's not just about clothes being cute, it's about why they like them and what's motivating to them, and some girls going on our Facebook and reading about the blog, and saying, 'Oh I did that recipe that you talked about on the blog.' It's nice. It's a different type of communication for me with my fans because it's not necessarily about my work as an actor, but about something that I'm sort of giving back to the girls and hoping that they dig it." [bctt tweet="Kate Hudson Opens Up About All Things Fitness"] Of when she sparked an interest in fitness, she said "The truth is that I've always been a very active person, since I was little. Just for my own clarity being active is something that I need and it's just a way of life for me. I think that it has a big part to do with my parents. You know, Kurt [Russell]'s an athlete, he was a professional baseball player, and my mom's a dancer and just our whole childhood was about being active so that carries into the rest of my life and adulthood. I'm just one of those people where it's not necessarily about a result as much as it is about how I feel in my skin. And when I feel strong I feel strong; mentally and physically. Fabletics is about shifting your patterns and just wanting to be more active in your life in whatever capacity that is." Of the fitness apps she loves, she said "I really do like MyFitnessPal for tracking down calories, and you can use the scanner, which is really nice so if you eat a bar or chips or something like that you can just scan it and all of the nutrition comes up on the app. It's very well done. So I like that one, and I like Omvana. Omvana is a meditation app. And I like Hot5. Those are three that I like to use." On workout motivation she said, "If I'm not feeling motivated to finish a workout I usually just do a short workout [laughs]. I really think when you have friends that you can work out with you motivate each other. You sort of push each other and one person might be stronger one day and the other might be stronger the next day. It's a really nice thing to have a buddy to workout with, I think it's really motivating. If I feel like I haven't worked out in a week and I should go, I'll call my friends." On the importance of workout partners, she said "My friends are very similar in terms of our athleticism. I have a girlfriend her name is Angi Green and she's got a great Instagram that's just about fitness and wellbeing and all that and she's great and so we do a lot together. And Sophie [Lopez] actually, my stylist, is actually quite the workout girl; she's a little tough nut and we like to motivate each other. And my friend Jacqueline. So we've got like a group of girls where we really enjoy it and we enjoy doing it together. I think that's really motivating." On sporting fitness attire outside the gym she said, "I'm doing it right now! I've got on jeans with one of my Fabletics tops. We like to sort of tone the brand down so that you can sort of wear them with clothes. Some of the sports bras have really nice coverage and they kind of come down a little bit towards the ribs and so they're really nice with high-waisted skirts or high-waisted pants. I wear the leggings, too, like I'll wear them all fall and winter just with big sweaters and it's just so easy." Have you purchased anything from Fabletics yet?
