Kettlebell Exercises to Kick Butt #9: Kettlebell Russian Twist

Talk about making an already-challenging exercise even harder! The Russian Twist is a great movement to focus on your abs and obliques, and it's definitely not for the faint of heart or weak of core. The angle of the exercise is very tough, and adding the kettlebell into the mix just makes it harder. Kettlebell Russian Twist

Sit on a Yoga mat, with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Grip the kettlebell in both hands as you lean back. Your torso should reach a 45-degree angle, and your feet should come up off the floor. Hold your body in place and rotate your torso, twisting your upper body to the left and right. Swing the kettlebell across your body, gently touching the floor on each side as you twist. Reps as desired   This one is pretty rough if you don't have solid lower back strength, but it's amazing for shredding the other core muscles.
