Kim Kardashian recently revealed that she had used the Atkins diet in a bid to lose her post-baby weight. On Wednesday, it looked as though she couldn’t wait to share the results of her efforts with her fans. The 32-year-old posted a very revealing snap of herself in a high-cut swimsuit, with the caption ‘No filter’ attached to her big reveal.
It seemed as though Kim’s rather revealing ‘selfie’ was a big hit with baby-daddy, Kanye, as he tweeted “HEADING HOME NOW” in response.
Kardashian recently confessed ‘I’ve actually been doing the Atkins diet & luv it,’ (her “words”, not ours).
The reality star – who UsWeekly reported in August has lost 30 pounds since delivering her baby – was criticized on tabloid covers in the spring for ballooning up to 200 pounds while she was pregnant.
In March she addressed all the weight talk;
‘There are maybe two or three covers just this week that say I am 200 pounds. I’m like, “You are 60 pounds off here.’
Though we’re happy to see Kim shedding the baby pounds, is Atkins the best way to go about it? There is as much controversy around the Atkins diet as there is Kim herself. Incredibly low-carb diets can be very dangerous, especially to a nursing mother who is still nourishing two bodies.
What’s your take on this? Is it a healthy way to shed the pounds, or a desperate attempt to get them off fast?
