Master the Move #5: Mountain Climbers

Welcome to Master the Move. In this new series, we will focus on one specific exercise at time to break it down for you to learn it a little better for your next HIIT workout. Our next move to master is the Mountain Climber. This is a simple exercise in which you make the movements that a mountain climber would make. Think, you are climbing a mountain... but the moutain is your floor! They are pretty fun, but can become challenging as you increase your reps. It is a great form of cardio, as well! How to: cloth_diaper
  1. Assume a press up position so your hands are directly under your chest at shoulder width apart with straight arms
  2. Your body should form a straight line from your shoulders to your ankles
  3. Lift your right foot off the floor and slowly raise your knee as close to your chest as you can
  4. Return to the starting position and repeat with your left leg
  5. Continue alternating for the desired number of reps or time
