Men, This Is Why You’re Waking Up Erect Every Morning

If you're a guy, there's a strong likelihood you get "morning wood." You spend a few minutes trying to decide what to do with it. Is your partner awake? Should you pee? And why is this an every morning thing? You're not mad, you're just not quite sure what's up most of the time. This is why men get boners in the morning. Waking up with a boner is called nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) and is extremely common. But what you may want to know is the type you're experiencing, as there are actually two types of boners. There's the Psychogenic Boner and The Reflex Boner. The formers means you've been experiencing sexual thoughts (a good dream perhaps), while the latter is an internal trigger, which you may have also experienced in public. You're just eating your sandwich on the subway, when you look down and ...  SURPRISE! A theory for this is that getting an erection can prevent you from wetting the bed, meaning that your body is responding to your super full bladder by giving you a boner.
