Mini Workout Challenge: Be Happy!

We are all seeking happiness. We live to be happy and make others happy.

But how do we create happiness in our lives and others?

Are we waiting for that perfect something to be happy or are we enjoying every precious moment we have?

Happiness does not only happen when everything is perfect or a big achievement occurs. It is also made up of the small moments. Most of the time we do not even pay attention to these small moments. We like them, but we do not realize that they were actually making our days, weeks, years and lives.

“Enjoy the little things in life for one day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things!” Robert Brault

As I look ahead to the year that is before us, it will be filled with lots of these small, seemingly unimportant moments. Minutes, hours and days where the world is not watching. Tedious morning routines that don't seem worthy of Facebook or Instagram, and we will have a choice as to how we will fill them.

I think it is timely at the start of this new year to be aware of the small moments and what we will fill them with. For one day, it will be one small moment after another, that will lead us through our lives and make up the big picture.

We must choose to be in this moment instead of scheming toward something better.

This moment is a new opportunity to let go of everything that’s stressing us.

This moment is a new chance to take a deep breath so that we don’t feel overwhelmed and frustrated.

This moment is a tiny lifetime, all in itself, and we have the choice to live it.

We can trudge through mental quicksand, feeling bad and wishing we didn't; or we can realize that this moment is all we have and this moment is our life, and then consciously choose to let go and be free....So do not count the days but make the days count.

Here is a workout to make this moment count
