MMA bans Implants (unless you have a Doctors note)

Implants? Then you can't be an MMA fighter.

The State boxing commission in Louisiana issued an emergency ruling last week that effectively bars women that have breast augmentation surgery from taking part in MMA matches unless they have a note of permission from the plastic surgeon that performed the surgery.

"Boobgate" started a month ago when a female MMA athlete was forced to withdraw from a fight after one of her breast implants ruptured.

In a remark straight out of a 50's era sitcom, Commissioner Harold Williams was quoted as saying "If women want to look good then they don't have to be in the ring." If you want to work ladies you don't have to be in the kitchen either, but that's a whole other article. No fighting girls if it endangers your boob job!

Taking it further the commissioners as much as admitted that they were not as concerned about the fighters health as how much it costs to fix a breast implant. "Those redo surgeries are more complicated and
expensive" said Dr.Thomas Ferguson who also sits on the board. "I don't know of a single plastic surgeon that is going to allow his artistic work to be messed up."
