Move Over Chicken! There's A New Protein In Town! Try These Seasoned Tuna Steaks

Are you tired of eating the same old protein? Forget chicken and give tuna a try! Tuna is an excellent source of protein and provides your body with a healthy dose of omega-3 fatty acids. Tuna also contains iron, potassium, zinc and the B vitamin, niacin. Niacin plays a role in the functioning of your digestive system and helps keep your nerves and skin healthy. Inspired by the BodyRock Meal Plan, this easy to make, deliciously seasoned, tuna steak pairs beautifully with our Easy Potato Salad. Get your fry-pan ready and break out of your protein rut tonight! Ingredients:
  • 2 tuna steaks
  • olive oil
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
Directions: In a baking dish, drizzle some olive oil. Add onion powder, paprika, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Place tuna steaks in the spice mixture and coat completely, on both sides. Place skillet on medium-high heat and coat in olive oil. Place tuna in the heated pan and sear for about a minute and a half on both sides. Serve with a green salad or our Easy Potato Salad. Makes 2 servings.
