Need Motivation? This 8 Year Old Workout Fanatic Will Inspire You!
He wanted to help encourage other kids to exercise so they are not bullied in school. Now he's racing Usain Bolt. Oh, and he's only in the third grade.
8-year-old Demarjay Smith recently had a training video go viral, which propelled him onto Ellen Degeneres's stage. In the video, Demarjay does bench presses and cheers on his workout buddies who are doing the same.
"I had a cousin who was bullied about his size and his weight so then I had to do something because, like you see on the TV, I gotta be fit and strong." the young fitness fan explains to Ellen, adding, "It's just who I am."
Demarjay does 90 pushups every day as part of his routine, and he believes this has helped build up his strength enough that he can take on professional athletes.
"Do you think you could beat [Usain Bolt]?" Ellen asked the youngster.
"Yeah, 100 percent!" replied Demarjay.
Well, Ellen had this match arranged. Check out the video below to see how won the race!
