One Student Shows How People React to Being Told They Are Beautiful
Feeling beautiful from the inside out is a wonderful, positive thing, but many of us work against our own self-esteem due to the pressures society presents us on what makes someone look good.
But 18-year-old Shea Glover, a high school student from Chicago, wanted to revisit the topic. She decided to see what would happen when people were told they wee beautiful. So, as a social experiment, she posed people in front of her camera and then said, “I’m taking pictures of things I find beautiful.” The responses are truly heartwarming.
“I conducted an independent project which evidently turned into a social experiment regarding beauty,” Glover explained on YouTube. “I want to clarify that my intentions were not to get a reaction out of people. I was simply filming beauty and this is the result.”
