This Optical Illusion Will Determine If You Need Glasses
Neuroscientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have created this revolutionary vision test. The photo below can determine your need for eye glasses, depending on what you see.
Look at the photo from a distance of about a foot away. If you see Marilyn Monroe from this distance, you need glasses. If you're still seeing Albert Einstein, then your vision is fine. Hint: if you already wear glasses or contacts, take them off or out before you take a look.
"Depending on how well you're able to focus or pick up contrast, your eye will only pick out details. Up close, we're generally able to pick up fine details like Einstein's moustache and wrinkles. But as the distance increases, or if your vision is poor and creates a more blurred image in the first place, your ability to pick up details fades away." a scientist from the institute explains.
I personally gave it a try and all I can see is the theoretical physicist. Of course the most accurate way to check your eyesight to visit an optometrist, but this visual phenomena is certainly fun to experiment with.
