Pain-Killing Foods #6: Echinacea

Echinacea is one of those home remedies I've always looked at with extreme hesitation. It's a foul-smelling, supremely potent remedy that is used for a number of different problems, including treating colds, coughs, and the flu. Many people use the herbal remedy as a means of preventing colds, and studies have found that taking it can help to reduce the symptoms of a cold. If you've got a headache from a stuffy nose or a bad cold, it may be good idea to try Echinacea. Rinsing your mouth with Echinacea and other herbs can help to reduce the infection and protect your gums. It's even possibly a remedy for those with long-term gum disease. Migraine headaches can be VERY painful, but Echinacea is one of the herbs that are recommended for treating the pain. It can reduce the pain and swelling of a bee sting, help you manage the pain of UTIs and yeast infections, and even manage the suffering that comes from tonsillitis and a sore throat!
