Your Parents Had More Sex Than You!

What? Impossible! It may be hard to believe it, but your parents were far more promiscuous than you are. According to a study published in the medical journal Archives of Sexual Behavior, you probably have had fewer sexual partners than your parents did. And your grandparents probably outperformed your parents! The study, carried out by a team of researchers at San Diego State University, collected and examined data from over 40 years--between 1972 and 2012. The data included information on more than 57,000 people of all ages and sexes. Of those studied:

• Baby Boomers (those born in the 40s, 50s, and the earlier 60s) had, on average, 12 sexual partners in their lifetime
• Gen-Xers (those born in the later 60s and 70s) had, on average, 10 sexual partners in their lifetime
• Millennials (those born in the 80s and 90s) had/have, on average, just 8 sexual partners in their lifetime

What's wrong with this picture, millenials? If it's any comfort, those from both the Greatest Generation (those born in the early 1900s) and the Silent Generation (those born in the 30s and 40s) had just 3 and 5 sexual partners on average in their lives. Featured Image Source: www.vamshare.com
