Paul Rudd Dishes On How He Got His Amazing Ant-Man Bod

Like we haven't always loved Paul Rudd. Well, I've always loved Paul Rudd and I doubt that I am alone. But his role as Ant-Man has him looking more toned than usual. How did he get there, you ask? It was a little "insane." "I'd never exercised harder than this for an extended amount of time," Rudd tells PEOPLE. "My day was centered around fitness and health, and that was kind of a first," he adds. "Every other time, I had to go about my day and try and find the time to work out. But [this time] everything else about my day kind of had to fit in around the workouts. I was going to be held accountable for it, and there was a reason for doing it. I wasn't just randomly doing this kind of arbitrarily, which would have made it a lot harder." He says his works outs were "flips and rolls and all that kind of stuff... I wasn't doing any kind of crazy parkour. You know, I couldn't jump from that roof." It wasn't all exercise though, he had to watch what he put in his body. "I didn't drink any alcohol [and] I had no carbs" for a year, he says but also admits that his regimen would be impossible to sustain. But the thing with getting healthy, parts of it are so great they stick anyway. "I'm still doing all the workouts, I'm still eating pretty well," he says. Paul Rudd. Super Hero. I like it.
