The Perfect London Broil
My husband absolutely loves it when I make London Broil. And the great thing is-I do not have to actually broil it! I just sear it all. Ingredients
- 1 London Broil (2lb)
- 4 tbsp olive oil (save 1 tbsp for later)
- 5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp coarse salt (save 1 tbsp for later)
- 3 tbsp ground pepper
- In a bowl, mix 3 tbsp olive oil with the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- In a gallon zip lock bag, marinate the meat with the sauce mixture.
- Let marinate anywhere from 4 hours to 24 hours.
- When ready to cook, remove meat from ziplock bag and discard marinade.
- Pat the meat dry and let sit at room temp for 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet on HI for 2 minutes.
- Coat meat with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil.
- Place 1 tbsp salt in the hot skillet and add the meat.
- Sear for 7 minutes on one side. Flip.
- Sear for an additional 5 minutes on the other side.
- Remove from pan and lay on a cutting board.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Serve with fresh veggies and brown rice.
