Photoshop Has Gone Too Far!

March 15, 2014 1 min read

College Humor brings us a cautionary tale of photoshop’s over-usage, by showing the creation of a photoshopped image in reverse. You won’t believe what the original model looked like! It’s sort of ridiculous, but pretty hilarious, so I’ll let it slide. The best part of this whole video is the music and the crossfades, I think it really gets to the heart of the drama. Oh yeah, and the message, I guess that’s important too. With so many videos, articles, pictures, and campaigns dedicated to pointing out the unrealistic beauty standards imposed on us by the media’s use of photoshop, it’s refreshing to see an original take on the issue. I mean, I’m guilty of it too, in how many blogs have I talked about photoshop? Probably 75% at least. photoshop2 I don’t know how many more ways of saying, “Photoshop can do anything – don’t take images at face value” we can come up with, but this video was a pretty good method. photoshopreverse Obviously the video isn’t 100% photoshop (clearly there's a flat out picture swap at one point) but still, it goes to show that the technology is capable of just about anything, and we’ve got to laugh at it SOME time. The video is simultaneously funny/actually impressive. That’s the educational/entertaining combo of internet gold! Do you follow us on Instagram?
