I came across this cartoon and though it made me laugh, it also resonated with me. I have been exposed to mental illness my whole life and only recently came to grips with my own issues. I used to be very much of this mind set - largely because I wanted to believe the same could be true for me. But even outside of mental illness and extremes - many treat overall mental wellness in this same way. Taking care of your body is fantastic and absolutely key, but you need to take care of your mind as well. You are happier, more productive, and overall just more "you" when you are mentally well. So don't neglect your mind. Take those days off when your body is exhausted and don't beat yourself up about it. Don't get bogged down by an insult thrown your way. Surround yourself with as much positivity as often as possible. Mind over matter is a very true statement that we brush off way too quickly.
