Could This Plus-Sized Model Be A 'Curvier' Heidi Klum?
Ashley Graham has already established herself in the industry, but she aspires to be among the legends: Heidi Klum, Kathy Ireland and Cindy Crawford.
At 27, Ashley has landed a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue as their first plus sized model along with campaigns with Lane Bryant and Levi's. What she has accomplished up until now has been no easy task.
"I've faced criticism my whole career. It's come from fans, it's come from agents, and it's come from other models." she tells The Coveteur. "But I think that it's all a matter of how you handle it and I turned it all into a positive thing."
“I got told at the very beginning, when I was about 12 years old, ‘if you lost a ton of weight, you could be a major model’ and my mom just looked at the lady, started laughing and said ‘we won’t be doing that’" Ashley recalls.
Ashley has long proved that person wrong, and made her mother proud. The model is a size 14/16 and is happy with her body.

“I really truly believe that beauty is beyond size because there is beauty in every type of woman." Ashley explains.
The stunning model says she wants to see curvier versions of all the modelling greats in the years to come. She's seen major changes in the industry since she started out, and hopes it will progress into embracing women of all different sizes and body types.
