Pressed For Time? Try These Fitness Shortcuts

It takes time and effort to get fit. You won't wake up one morning with a super lean, super toned bod. We all know this. Consistency and effort are where it is at. But, sometimes, we just don't have the time. Life can be demanding and more pressing concerns take over. Before you know it, you've missed several days of workouts! But don't panic, it happens. If you make a few tweaks to your daily routine, you should be able to keep your fitness levels up when life pulls your attention elsewhere. Add these to your daily mix and nothing will stop you:

1. Add a 10-minute workout

2. Sneak in more cardio

Say no to the elevator and take the stairs. Stand up and walk around while on a phone call. Take a walk around the office every hour or so. 3. Do supersets

  Supersets will maximize your weight training efforts. To perform a superset, pick a muscle group and do a few exercises for that muscle group without taking any rest in between. If legs are your chosen target, try doing deadlifts, weighted squats and weighted walking lunges, for example. Repeat the round a few times. Doing this will cut your workout time while upping your intensity levels and giving your muscles a great blast, burning more calories.
