Mouth-Watering Protein "Blondies" Recipe
I make no secret of it: I have a bonafide sweet tooth. It really is a true art form and part-time job scouring the net for the latest and greatest 'faux-anything-thats-close-to-the-real-thing' recipe, just so I can curb my cravings while staying in the best shape I can. And when I DO find that token treasure of a recipe, I SHARE!!!
I recently had been stuck on what I was going to prepare for a loved one's birthday dessert- as he and I were both on a fairly tight regime. I came across this recipe on a gym buddy's IG page and I was SOLD. I have already made these twice and believe me- you will want to eat the whole tray! The best part? They are guilt-free!!

Protein "Blondies"
1 can of chickpeas (rinsed and drained)
1 large egg
1/3 cup creamy natural peanut butter
1 scoop Magnum Nutraceuticals Quattro Protein in Vanilla Ice Cream (or your fave brand)
1/3 cup sugar free maple syrup (I used Mrs. Butterworth's)
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp Splenda
1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350F. Blend all ingredients (except chocolate chips) in a blender/food processor until smooth. Place batter in a lightly oiled pan; add chocolate chips. Bake for 15-20 mins, or until knife/toothpick comes out clean when centre is pricked. This made 16 squares in a 9"x 7.5" pan.
