Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Coffee has a special place in my life. I love it almost as much as my husband and kids. Almost. Once or twice a week I can be seen at various coffee shops around Scottsdale, laptop in tow, ear buds streaming my coffeehouse Pandora station, delighting in foamy sips between email responses. I also look forward to cooler temps (the average high is still over 100 degrees here), and the ability to partake in a hot beverage in places other than arctic air-conditioned venues. A favorite of mine is the seasonal pumpkin spice latte. What's not to love about Fall-themed beverages and the comfort foods that follow? It's a feel good time of year! And it can feel a lot better when you make your own flavored latte at home and limit the need for dropping $5 to have someone make it for you.

To make your own Pumpkin Spice Latte you will combine the following:

1/2 cup strong brewed coffee (or 2 shots of espresso if you are fancy)

1/2 cup warmed or steamed milk (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)

1/4 teaspoon (or to taste) pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon raw honey

Truth be told, my daughters make their own version minus the coffee and love their special Fall sip too. Enjoy!   xo, Lonni
