Resistance Band Exercises - The Benefits

Resistance band exercises are everywhere. You see the bands in gyms, homes and on TV. They are an incredibly popular form of resistance training, but why should we do resistance band exercises? One of the main reasons is that they are compact, lightweight and easy to transport. You can pack them to take on a trip, store them conveniently at home or bring them to the office. You really only need 3 bands: 1 light, 1 medium and 1 heavy. Unlike dumbbells or barbells, you get constant resistance from resistance band exercises - on the way up and on the way down. The lowering is just as difficult as the lifting. With just 3 bands, you can get a full body workout. You can perform bicep curls, tricep extensions, shoulder presses, rows, chest flys and presses, squats, lunges, back kicks - you get the idea. Just keep in mind your body needs variety. It is very clever and very adaptable, so while resistance band exercises are a great addition to a workout routine, you should also train with other forms of resistance.

(HINT: Do your BodyRock exercises!)
