Daniel McCawley, owner of the Atomic Grill in Morgantown, West Virginia had the classiest response to a pretty un-classy post on Urban Spoon from one patron asking that the servers show more skin. Pretty disturbed by the uncouth comment, McCawley decided to give the commenter exactly what he asked for, posting this delectable picture of loaded potato skins on the restaurant’s facebook page. "It was brutish. I was upset. I’m a father of a 12-year-old girl and I’ve got five sisters," McCawley said. "The way that women are treated is pretty personal as far as I’m concerned." On top of the clever response, he sweetened the pot with a $7 potato skin special until Memorial Day with 100% of the proceeds going to the West Virginia Foundation for Rape Information Services. This story totally makes my heart melt. Not only was his response to an act of everyday sexism witty and intelligent, but it will also raise money for a good cause, and already attracted the attention of abc news, so I’m obviously not alone in my appreciation of Mr. McCawley’s actions.
