I like a good Caesar or Blue Cheese dressing, but there's nothing that does a salad justice like a tasty Ranch dressing. Sadly, the creamy stuff and I have had to part ways. Thankfully, I've found some great alternatives to pour over my salad:
Andy's Homemade Asian DressingMix up a few tablespoons of soy sauce with vinegar, chopped garlic, a handful of parsley, and sesame seeds. Drop in a few drops of sesame seed oil for flavor, and complete the dressing with olive oil.
Whole AvocadoesIt's not really a salad dressing, but it does wonders to make your salad richer and creamier. Slice up half an avocado, mix it into your salad, and pour a bit of olive oil and lemon juice. Add salt and pepper, and you're done!
Balsamic DressingOlive oil, balsamic or red wine vinegar, and plenty of salt and pepper make a supremely simple yet highly delicious spritz for your salads.
